That was the basis of an e-mail I received last weekend. A literary agent in New Zealand contacted me on behalf of his author-client, asking permission to quote the second stanza from my poem, “Banzai Cliff, Saipan,” in his client’s book, a biography of a businessman who spent time on Saipan. This was a first for me– one I couldn’t pass up. I granted permission.
The poem is unpublished. Does this count as partial publication?
